Mati is a vibrant Bangladeshi-American music band based in Astoria, New York, representing the new generation of Bangladeshi youth through energetic performances of pop, rock, and other contemporary genres. Formed in 2015, Mati brings a fresh, bold voice to the stage, performing regularly at social and cultural events throughout the Bangladeshi community in the U.S.

The name Mati (মাটি) translates to “soil”, symbolizing the band’s deep connection to roots, identity, and heritage.
