BHALO (Bangladeshi Humanitarian Aid & Leadership Outreach) is a volunteer-led nonprofit organization based in Jamaica, Queens, dedicated to uplifting underserved communities across New York City. Founded during the COVID-19 pandemic, BHALO started as a grassroots initiative distributing PPE to frontline workers. Today, it continues to make a meaningful impact through leadership programs, food drives, civic engagement, and resource access.
The word “Bhalo” means “Good” in Bengali – and that’s the foundation of everything we do.
